Aldeanueva de la Vera is situated in the centre of the La Vera region . Its economy is primarily based on agriculture, stockbreeding and tourism.

NATURE: This municipality boasts one of the highest numbers ofGorges in all of La Vera, notably the "Los Guachos"and "San Gregorio " gorges with natural pools which you can cool off in during Summer. It also boasts mountains of great beauty. From here, you can follow trails such as the Chorrera de la Mora and the Ruta del Emperador.

MONUMENTS AND PLACES OF INTEREST

• San Pedro Apóstol parish church, which was rebuilt in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. It includes a fourteenth century semi-circular apse and a parish museum.

• Sta. Catalina de Siena Convent of the PP. Dominicans, confessors of Felipe II, in ruins, 2 km towards Jarandilla de la Vera.

• Bullring, where bullfights in traditional La Vera style are held in summer.

• Roman bridge, on the San Gregorio gorge.

• Natural Pool, on the San Gregorio gorge. puente romano

• House of Bishop Godoy, bishop of Osma and Sigüenza.
